A Day with Richmond Cycling Corps
A few weeks ago we had the honor to spend a day at Richmond Cycling Corps in Richmond Va. The after school program for youth from Richmond's public housing projects is action-packed. After a quick briefing by program director, the kids dispersed into small groups and began working on their individual projects. We were asked to come talk to a small group of three very creative girls about clothing design and the process of screen printing. There we met Kadasjah "K", a 16 year old Richmond teen who had an amazing idea for a t-shirt for Richmond Cycling Corps. We reviewed K's design and talked about how we can make her drawing into a t-shirt. We are proud to present to you the first shirt in the RCC Youth Artist Series:
K's shirt is available in men's and women's cut as well as a very limited edition, signed and numbered art print, exclusively available at Richmond Bicycle Studio in Richmond, VA. If you would like a t-shirt log into facebook and leave a comment on RCC's Facebook Page or contact us.
Richmond Cycling Corps (RCC) is an inner city youth program that introduces cycling and bike mechanics to kids from Richmond's public housing projects. Read more about RCC here.
